Verification: What We Check
What RedSquare verifies — your screen's location, your payout account and every ad — and what it does not
Getting Started
3 min
Here is everything that gets verified on RedSquare, who checks it, and why.
Your Account
For Everyone
- You sign up with your email and a password, or with a sign-in option shown on the sign-up page
- RedSquare doesn't ask for ID, and there are no account levels or badges to unlock
- If the sign-up page asks you to confirm your email, use the link we send. If the link has expired, the page it opens lets you ask for a new one
Verification Steps
Your Screen's Location (Screen Owners)
- Your screen is shown to advertisers only once its location is confirmed: someone stood at the screen, within 50 m of its map pin
- It usually happens while you add the screen, when you allow the location prompt
- If it didn't, run it from the screen's Location & verification settings — see Verifying your screen
- A confirmed screen shows advertisers a green Verified location badge
Your Payout Account (Screen Owners)
Needed only for a screen that charges:
- Connect PayPal or Stripe on the Get paid step (
/onboard?step=payouts) - Your payout provider — not RedSquare — checks who you are: your legal name, your bank account, and sometimes an ID document or tax details. You give those to them, not to us
- Advertisers can book a paid screen once its payout account is connected
Every Ad (Advertisers)
- Every ad is reviewed before it can be booked, when you upload it on the first step of booking
- A rejected ad shows the reason, so you can fix it and upload it again
- The category you choose for the ad is checked against each screen's house rules
